Our facials provide a jumpstart towards your skin goals, using high performance treatments to help correct and prevent an array of skin concerns. Through the discussion of these goals, the aesthetician analyzes your skin to customize each treatment. While our facials leave your skin fresh and glowing, each treatment also includes a variety of massage to relax and rejuvenate.
Skin wellness has been my passion since I began my beauty career in 2000. As a licensed aesthetician, I promote skin health and beauty through the stimulation of cellular turnover, high performance treatments, and skin balancing hydration. As someone who has struggled with various skin concerns through each phase of my life, I understand the importance of tailoring each service to the individual. All services are conducted with your safety in mind, which include enhanced sterilization practices and my use of a face mask during the entirety of your service.
How often should I schedule a facial?
Based on your skin treatment goals as well as your age, it is most commonly recommended to book a facial every 4-6 weeks. Cell turnover occurs every 28-40 days, and only lengthens as we age. Facials help to reduce the layers of dead skin that clog pores and prevent product absorption, so it is recommended to get a professional facial regularly to prevent these dead cells from building up. That being said, it is more helpful to get a facial sometimes rather than never.
All of the facial options look great, which one do I choose?
While each facial listed caters to a specific concern, I will always analyze your skin prior to your service to customize your treatment for you. What matters most is to book the facial that addresses your biggest concerns, and allows enough time to customize to your preference. Still uncertain? Choose “Skin Therapist Recommendation 60 or 90 minute” and I’ll work with you from there.
Do the facials include extractions?
Each facial includes extractions as needed, which are completed manually without the use of tools. This technique helps to control pressure and allow them to be done more safely. While extractions are not comfortable, I make every effort to ensure that they are not painful.
How should I prepare for my facial appointment?
Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your appointment, and refrain from the use of exfoliants/Retin-A/peels/waxing/new lash application/Botox/filler/laser treatments for 5-7 days prior to your service. Feel free to contact me with specific questions pertaining to any of the above.
How should I take care of my skin after my facial?
I will always make personal recommendations as needed, but some helpful things to remember are:
- refrain from exfoliating scrubs or prescription retinol for a week
- wear sunscreen daily
- reduce sun exposure for the following week
- change your pillowcase that day to prevent re-infection of old bacteria into your skin – continue cleansing and moisturizing twice a day to keep your skin fresh and healthy
- Please do not make plans to exercise or do any other heat inducing activity same day following your treatment.
Can I get a facial if I am pregnant?
Absolutely! Whether pregnant or breastfeeding, each treatment can be customized to be healthy and safe for you and baby.
At what age can I start getting facials?
Many experts believe that at about the age of 14, you can begin using facials to care for your skin. That’s when your skin starts to shift, and blackheads, wrinkles, and acne start to show up. Although some teenagers may experience puberty sooner or later, the beginning of puberty is a good guideline. A parent or guardian is required to sign a consent form prior to the start of each service for anyone under the age of 18.
What brand of products do you use in the services?
I use a variety of professional grade treatments from Murad and Eminence. While all of my services are customized to the individual, I do offer exclusive Murad Treatment Facials. Murad skincare products are also available for purchase to continue boosting your results at home.
